Keyword Scout Privacy Policy
Keyword Scout ("the app") is an internal keyword research tool used by POS Express staff. This policy explains what data the app accesses through Google APIs and how that data is handled.
Data we access
When an authorized user signs in with Google, the app requests the Google Ads API scope
(https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords). With it, the app reads:
- Basic Google Ads account details (account id, name, currency) to confirm access.
- Keyword Planner data: keyword ideas, average monthly searches, competition level and top-of-page bid ranges.
The app does not read campaign performance, payment details, contacts, email, or any other Google account data, and it never creates, edits or deletes anything in Google Ads.
How we use it
Keyword data is used only to show and rank keyword opportunities for the user who requested them. It is not used for advertising profiles, sold, or shared with third parties.
Storage and retention
- The OAuth refresh token is stored only on the authorized user's own computer, in a local configuration file.
- Keyword results may be saved as CSV files on that same computer. No data is sent to POS Express servers or any other service.
- Users can delete these files at any time, and can revoke the app's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Keyword Scout's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
